Today is a very monumental day for me! Do you know why? It was on this very day, one year ago, that I photographed my very first wedding ceremony all by my lonesome! I remember being so nervous about this day, even though I knew I was ready. I was only scheduled for about 1-2 hours, but you always get nerves when you’re about to do something exciting! I had been a second shooter or shadowed other photographers for a number of weddings already, but this was my very first solo job! I also had a second shooter on standby incase I happened to go into labor, because I was due to have my son the very next week!! Insane to think about as I look back on this day. To add on more stress, my normal camera body had to get sent to the shop for repairs, so I was using a loaner for the small ceremony. Talk about a seriously hectic wedding prep for this first timer! The good news? Everything turned out wonderful. I didn’t go into labor early. My loaner camera and I did a wonderful job with the images, and Allison & Cody had a beautiful ceremony.
Well, enough of the blabbering about my personal issues, and onto why we’re really here. 😉 The real importance of today goes out to Allison and Cody, for their ONE YEAR anniversary! I honestly can’t believe how fast this time has flown, and I am sure it has been the same for these two and their beautiful family. I truly thank you both for trusting in me to photograph your wedding, considering all of the circumstances. You two rock! If it weren’t for you both, and your wedding day, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today, so thank you!
I hope and pray that your love for one another only continues to grow stronger, and that your anniversary brings a nice, relaxed, day for the both of you.
