Does the East Valley have some amazing wedding vendors or what?! As I began planning my elopement style shoot for Canyon Lake, I had the opportunity to speak with a number of different wedding vendors via facebook or instagram. Let me just tell you, all of you future brides and grooms searching for vendors here in the Phoenix area are in some serious luck because they seriously all rock! As a Phoenix wedding photographer, I have to make my rounds with meeting all of the different wedding venues or vendors surrounding the area. For this session, I had the blessing of working with three phenomenal wedding vendors! I had Katie with Sift Bakehouse, Jenna with The Florette AZ, and Lindsay with Fancy Lou. I seriously could not have asked for a better group of ladies to work with for my very first style shoot. Each of these girls took my overall idea for the collaboration and blew my visions out of the water!
Katie not only designed a beautiful two tier cake, with purple macaroons, but she made them taste like magic! She told me they were made with magical calories, so I tried my best not to feel bad about eating my heart out. I made the terrible (i.e., wonderful) decision of having her do a peanut butter flavored cake, and let me tell you…. Holy Amazeballs! Seriously though, if heaven were a cake, I’m pretty sure I already made a visit. Her macaroons were to die for as well, although I’ve never had one before, I know she makes some amazing desserts!
Jenna was the exact florist I was looking for as I was envisioning this elopement style shoot. I wanted a flower arrangement that was more leafy than actual flowers. I am a huge sucker for the natural wild flower styled arrangements versus strictly flowers placed all together. As soon as I came across The Florette on instagram, I immediately knew I needed to hire her for this event! All I gave Jenna was the color scheme for this elopement style shoot and she took off. I couldn’t be happier with how the flower table arrangements turned out, especially the bouquet! Wonderful work!
Lindsay is such a sweetie! I went through her website and found a few different ideas of what I thought would look great together as a table setup. We both drew up a dream board with what she had available, and what I was looking for, and once we came to a resolution, I was able to come see it all in person! Let me just tell you how school girl giddy I became as I entered her place of business and saw my vision laid out perfectly on one of her gorgeous wooden tables… Perfection. It felt so amazing seeing all of my ideas laid out in front of me. Lindsay drove out to my location to get the table set up for my elopement, and was such a joy to be around for the evening. I would highly recommend her!
I won’t even get started on my husband and wife for this session. My friends Jesika and Sean are truly amazing inside and out. The love they share for one another is so timeless and true. Their passion for growing a deeper relationship with God always brightens my day. The nerdiness they try to keep in the closet at times is always to die for when it finally makes its way out. They have truly been my anchors since moving back home, and two of my greatest friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to be my bride and groom for the elopement.
Now onto the obvious reason why you’re here…. the beautiful pictures!
