The Palo Alto Plantation was the largest plantation back in the 1800s! And now it’s the perfect location for an intimate wedding! Being just minutes away from the cute town of Swansboro, your guests will have the perfect getaway spot to stay at right near the ocean.

As soon as I arrived to the wedding venue, Taylor immediately brought on a warm welcome! She’s the wedding coordinator, and basically will be your go to girl to talk to for anything related to having your wedding here. She brought me through a great walk through of the grounds, and shared with me some of the super cute decorations they already have in house!

I loved realizing just how versatile this entire place was! If you’re having a small wedding at The Palo Alto Plantation, you’ll be able to fit all of your reception guests in their sweet little patio with farm tables decorated to suit your style. If you’re having a bigger wedding, there is plenty of grass, and even room for a tent!

Do you know what else I loved? The fact that there was this adorable archway built overlooking (what will be) a vastness of greenery! All I could think about while visiting this wedding venue was how gorgeous it will be in the Spring, Summer, and Fall!

I’ll be photographing a stylized shoot with The Palo Alto Plantation in May, and I’m so looking forward to capturing just how beautiful this venue is when it’s all ready for a wedding day celebration!
