Cherie and Jonathan said I do by having a rustic wedding at Stoney Hill Farm in Miamisburg, Ohio. And to be completely honest, I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to be my very first Ohio couple! I can’t help but think it was a huge blessing in disguise to capture their wedding day. Not only were the details of their day super cute, but they had the perfect touches of blue / mint… (my fave!!).
How these high school sweethearts met:
“We have dated since 2001. Our parents used to run around together a long time ago. Jon’s Grandma Wendling watched my baby brother for a while. I hung out with his cousin which Mama Wendling raised, so I hung around his grandparents house. He worked at the moraine pool and I would go there and see him way before we dated.”
– Cherie
As we were heading to their first look, Cherie told me about how she would write notes saying “I’m gonna marry that man one day” and today was the day!

How he asked:
“Christmas 2016 he got our son a onesie made that said “mommy will you marry daddy” and had it on under his pajamas. Jon took his cute x-mas jammies off at his nana and papa richard’s house and sat him in front of me. I read it and he was on his knee in front of his family…” – Cherie
(SOOOO CUTE!!!!)

Cherie’s favorite detail:
“I gave him old letters and poems I wrote him in high school along with a few pages of my feelings right before the first look.“

Cherie’s Favorite Part:
“Mother-Son Dance!“
