Some say that you can’t find true love while sitting at a bar, but the couple that I recently met with would beg to defer. Just about a week ago, I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple [as per usual] down at the FTCC Rose Garden. There, of course, was a twist. What was planned to be a casual Fall Couples Session during a photographer’s golden hour of the day, turned into a surprise E-N-G-A-G-E-M-E-N-T. My heart was immensely filled with joy. I’m not sure if you could even fathom the feelings I had flowing through me as a captured every stinking moment of this beautiful action happening in front of me. Thankfully, Kevin made mention to me shortly before the session about what he was planning to do. I assured him that I would stay as casual as possible during those moments. I pretended as if I was just getting the settings set on my camera [like I do with every session,] only this time I was really just prepping for what Kevin was about to do! And you know what was even better than a surprise engagement?! The fact that she said YES! Eeek!! Happy Heart – Happy Heart. And to add frosting to the cake, Kevin asked her to marry him in Korean. Beyond sweet, I seriously love all of this!
So, backstory. Kevin and Julie met here in Fayetteville, at a local bar, a good 2 plus years ago. The ironic part? He was there trying to meet one of her friends! Well, apparently things went a different route, because these two seriously hit it off! Here we are, 2 years later, and these two are engaged to be married on Earth Day! Why Earth Day you ask? Julie says it’s because that is the one holiday that the whole world gets to celebrate together. L-O-V-E.
“They say you can’t meet someone you’ll marry at a bar, but I guess we broke the statistics!” – Julie
Now for why you’re really here, PICTURES!!
